We take server backups every 24 hours (excluding email servers) however the backups we make are primarily to enable the restoration of the servers operating system should the need arise. All user content is backed up at the same time but we do not guarantee the availability of this content.
User content drive failure ie the drive containing your websites files will generally require several hours (8-12) of restore work to be conducted before the server is available again.
We strongly recommend you take your own backups as and when you feel necessary, only consider relying on our backup procedures as an absolute worst case scenario, we do not make any guarantees that any backup made by KiwiGeeks is suitable for anything other than our own recovery purposes, the backup and retention of user content is the end users responsibility this includes web, email and databases content.
A fee of 25 NZ will apply if you wish to request us to try and restore anything from our backups for you.
